These free practice knowledge tests have everything you need to help you prepare for and pass the knowledge test for your learner’s (Class 7L) licence. The official passenger vehicle and motorcycle knowledge tests are offered in 11 languages. You'll be allowed to skip each question up to two times during the test. Roughly one in five questions on your official knowledge test will be about road signs. On average, it takes 25-26 minutes to complete. To get your L, you must score a minimum of 40 out of 50 questions on the multiple-choice knowledge test. You can get your L on or after your 16th birthday. As a new driver, you'll first need to your L (Class 7 learner's licence), then your N (novice licence), and then your full-privilege driver's licence (after passing your Class 5 test). British Columbia has a graduated licensing program.
